Real Madrid visit the new Wanda Metropolitano for the first time and they really need a win in order to stay in the race for the 2017-18 La Liga season. Dani Carvajal will be with the team after missing quite some time with a rare pericarditis but neither Gareth Bale nor Keylor Navas will be ready to play just yet.

Los Blancos have been mediocre this season and getting this away win could clearly be a season-defining moment. However, Atletico always take this game very seriously and it won’t be easy to dismantle Simeone’s side at the Wanda, even though they have been poor this season as well.

Cristiano Ronaldo will be looking forward to scoring some goals. He’s been missing big chances lately and so has Karim Benzema. Real Madrid need a good performance from their two attackers if they want the three points here, so it will be interesting to see if both Ronaldo and Benzema have what it takes to finally bounce back.
