Real Madrid just published a medical report on Marco Asensio after the Spanish attacker missed the last two training sessions. Zidane confirmed that he won’t be available when Los Blancos take on Malaga this Saturday.
Following tests carried out on Marco Asensio by the Real Madrid Sanitas medical team, he has been diagnosed with an external obturator injury on the right leg. His recovery will be monitored.
Coach Zinedine Zidane said that this shouldn’t be anything serious but it makes sense for Real Madrid to keep Asensio out so that this small injury doesn’t become a bigger issue down the road.
Real Madrid will also host Fuenlabrada in the return leg of the Copa del Rey next Tuesday so Asensio will have more than a week to recover from this injury and get ready as soon as possible for Real Madrid’s upcoming games both in La Liga and the FIFA Club World Cup.
