Real Madrid host Malaga needing to put some pressure on Barcelona, given that Messi and his teammates visit Valencia this Sunday. Los Blancos will be hoping to see Barcelona dropping some points this week but they have to take care of their own business first, something they haven’t done so far this season.

Zidane will be without Marco Asensio and Gareth Bale but Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic is back after missing the last two months with a serious groin injury. Kovacic had been a bright spot during the pre-season and his return could be huge for the struggling Madrid midfield. Sergio Ramos isn’t available either after breaking his nose during last weekend’s Madrid Derby. He should be ready to play next weekend as he will wear a mask to protect his face.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema scored two goals each against APOEL and they will try to translate that good performance to La Liga, where they’ve been mediocre at best.
