Dani Carvajal completed Saturday’s training session with his teammates after recovering from his pericarditis, the team reported just moments ago. Therefore, Carvajal should be available to play fairly soon even though he might need to complete some more training sessions before playing in a competitive game.
Carvajal is not expected to be available for Sunday’s game against Las Palmas, so Achraf will be deployed in the team’s right-back position as Nacho will be playing alongside Ramos because of Varane’s injury.
All things considered, Real Madrid can call themselves lucky because Carvajal was facing a significant absence with his pericarditis. Either way, Zidane and the coaching staff will surely be looking forward to deploying the Spanish right-back once again as the team has been missing his impact on the pitch.
Once he makes his return, Carvajal will be the undisputed starter in the right side of the defensive line, even more so if Varane can’t stay healthy and Nacho is forced to play in the center.
