As if there was any doubt, Cristiano Ronaldo desperately wants to bounce back from his somewhat disappointing scoring performances he’s put on early this season. According to a report from Onda Cero, the Portuguese star told his teammates that he “will finish the season as La Liga’s Top Scorer”, proving that he still doesn’t lack confidence.

Ronaldo has only scored one goal one goal this season while the current leading scorer, Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, has found the back of the net 12 times. This means that Ronaldo would not only need to improve his current form, he’d also need some kind of injury or a shocking scoring drought from his Argentinian rival.

Either way, Ronaldo will surely try his very best to write his name on the score sheet when Real Madrid visit Atletico’s Wanda Metropolitano in two weeks time. Real Madrid need the three points and they’ll have a much better chance of earning them if Ronaldo finally gets back on track.
