Real Madrid’s prospect Martin Odegaard has revealed that the club are happy with his development as a player now that he’s with Dutch club Heerenveen.

“Real Madrid are very satisfied, they believe I’m doing a good job and that’s obviously a good sign,” said the Norwegian midfielder to Dagbladet.

“I won’t be back in Madrid this winter, we’ll talk about my situation next summer,” he added, explaining that he will finish the current season in the Eredivisie.

“I think I will reach my potential in the next couple of seasons, I still have many years of football ahead of me and that’s something quite easy to forget when you make your debut at such a young age,” added Odegaard.

The promising playmaker has bounce back from a disappointing end to the 2016-2017 season with Heerenveen, when he couldn’t get meaningful minutes consistently. Now, he’s playing well and it seems that he could complete the pre-season with Real Madrid next summer.
