Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane talked to the press ahead of Wednesday’s clash against Al Jazira in the Semifinals of the FIFA Club World Cup and confirmed that both Varane and Gareth Bale will be available.
“Bale and Varane completed today’s training session without any kind of discomfort. I’m happy about having a healthy roster, but we’ll see if they are with the team tomorrow,” said the French coach.
“We’re happy about playing this tournament in Abu Dhabi, the fans welcomed us with arms wide open and they love Real Madrid here. We started scouting Al Jazira as soon as we knew we were going to play against them,” added Zidane.
The French coach confirmed that a red card in this tournament would get his players suspended.
“Yes, we are thinking about that because they would be suspended for El Clasico. It’s strange because this is not the same competition, but that’s the way it is,” concluded Zidane.
