Real Madrid will be defending the World Cup title they conquered a year ago and they’ll do so against Gremio. Los Blancos made some rotations when they faced Al Jazira last Wednesday and coach Zinedine Zidane could still try to keep his players fresh as they will host Barcelona in a decisive El Clasico a week from today.

Sergio Ramos will almost surely make his return to the starting lineup and so will Dani Carvajal. Both of them got some rest against Al Jazira and will be ready to perform if Zidane gives them the start. Toni Kroos will likely be another starting player back in the starting lineup today.

If Zidane wants to shake things up and have some key reserves in good spirits ahead of El Clasico, Asensio and Bale could start. Benzema and Isco didn’t perform very well against Al Jazira and while it looks like they will be undisputed starters when Real host Barcelona, Asensio and Bale could be needed in that game and Zidane will surely want to have those three players ready to go.
