Brazilian wonderkid Vinicius Jr will travel to Madrid this week and will meet the first team after completing his transfer to Real Madrid last summer, according to Brazilian newspaper Globoesporte.. Still, he will only be in the Spanish capital to watch El Clasico as he is expected to complete the 2018-2019 season with Flamengo before he officially becomes a Real Madrid player.

Vinicius is performing well for his club in Brazil this season even though he wasn’t getting the minutes he wanted just after his signing for Madrid was announced. Still, he is still a prospect and won’t likely make a huge impact in the first team until he develops as a player over the next few years.

Real Madrid reportedly spent around €60 million for the Brazilian attacker and it will be interesting to see if that investment ever pays off as he is still very raw to tell if he can translate his game to European football.
