Manu Hernando Signs a New Contract With Real Madrid

The defender will be at the club until at least 2021.

Manu Hernando has today signed a four-year contract extension deal with Real Madrid! Having spent pre-season with the first team — training regularly and even making the odd match day squad — this extension only confirms the faith that the club have placed into his potential even further.

Manu puts pen to paper to ink a new 4 year deal!

If this contract is anything like the type that all the other promising young talents are offered (and it most certifiably is), then it will ensure that Manu will spend relevant time with Castilla, before being promoted into the first team roster for good. From there, he will either be sold, loaned out, or kept in the squad. This contract is particularly significant as it ensures that Manu will definitely be a first team player in the near future. The majority of these Castilla contract signings are forgotten about in days, so when the time comes for them to step up into the first team, everyone acts as if this happened completely out of the blue. If you are reading this article right now, then you have gained the bragging rights to gloat that you knew it was coming all the way back in 2017!

So, big news for Manu Hernando! He now needs to knuckle down and secure a starting spot for Castilla, ensuring that he progresses well enough to move onto bigger things. This is the first reported Real Madrid contract signing in the Castilla squad this season... Who would you like to see put pen to paper next?
