Real Madrid just published their starting XI for the upcoming El Clasico against FC Barcelona.

Real Madrid starting XI: Keylor Navas, Dani Carvajal, Varane, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Casemiro, Kroos, Modric, Kovacic, Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema.

Barcelona starting XI: Ter Stegen, Sergi Roberto, Pique, Vermaelen, Jordi Alba, Busquets, Rakitic, Iniesta, Paulinho, Messi, Suarez.

It will be extremely important for Zidane’s men to contain Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez as their defensive line has been struggling lately. Still, Madrid will be expected to control the midfield through Luka Modric and Toni Kroos even though Barcelona will still have their chances with Andres Iniesta and Ivan Rakitic. The battle for the midfield will be crucial.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema will be trying to make a statement and score some goals after their struggles throughout the 2017-18 La Liga season. Madrid need the win in order to cut Barcelona’s current lead in the table.
