Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal says that Los Blancos will not give up on the 2017-18 La Liga title even after the discouraging 0-3 defeat against Barcelona in El Clasico played last Saturday. Madrid are now 14 points behind Barça in the table and most fans and analysts believe that it’s impossible for Los Blancos to compete for the title, but Carvajal says otherwise.

“We’re 14 points behind but we’ll take every game very seriously and trying to win, even though it’s clear that we will have more pressure as we can’t afford more mistakes. We will give it all and we will fight for the title until the numbers say we just can’t win it,” said the defender.

Carvajal was sent off during El Clasico and the red card he saw was a crucial turning point in the match as Madrid were already two goals behind and down to 10 men. The defender did not want to talk about any potential signings this winter.

“You need to ask the president about that,” he concluded.
