Real Madrid will keep it simple and Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga will be the team’s only signing this winter, according to a report from AS. Los Blancos will pay the €20 million release clause on his contract in order to secure the signing this very same winter even though the keeper could be joining the team as a free agent next July.
While some rumors indicate that Real Madrid will also explore the possibility of signing a striker this January, AS report that Los Blancos will not even consider that option and Kepa will be the team’s only upgrade to their current roster.
Kepa is a young goalkeeper with a big potential, but will he be able to change Real’s mediocre performances and salvage the season for Los Blancos? Furthermore, it will be interesting to see if he has what it takes to defend the team’s goal this very same year as Keylor Navas played well against Barcelona.
