Eden Hazard has been on Real Madrid’s radar for quite some time and the Belgian attacker has rejected a contract extension with Chelsea because he wants to be available at a cheaper price if Los Blancos make a move for him next summer, according to Thierry Hazard, Eden’s father.

“What I can say about it is that he hasn’t signed a contract extension with Chelsea because he wants to be available if there’s a potential interest from Real Madrid. He sees himself playing there, but right now there hasn’t been any kind of talks with Madrid,” said Thierry Hazard to Belgium’s Le Capitale.

Even though Hazard is a very interesting player and a quality attacker, it’s not clear whether he would be able to take Real Madrid to the next level or not, especially considering that he is a winger who would take minutes away from players like Marco Asensio or Gareth Bale.
