Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund have both secured their spots in the Champions League Group Stage. Los Blancos will finish second behind Tottenham Hotspur and depending on the result between Spurs and APOEL, Dortmund could either drop down to the Europa League, or be done.
Despite the spots being set for Real Madrid, the game is still important for a variety of reasons. Certainly squad rotation could be involved, as well as attempting to resolve the tactical problems that surfaced against Bilbao.
This really is a chance for Real to gain some confidence against a good team. Despite their poor showing in the Group Stage, Dortmund are a really solid team when they’re running on all cylinders. They just haven’t been playing that well as of late, only winning one of their last 10 matches.
Despite the tough times at Athletic Bilbao over the weekend, the bright spot for Real was once again Luka Modric. In order to create the offensive production that wasn’t there against Bilbao, Modric will have to be heavily involved once again.

Borussia Dortmund predicted XI: Bürki, Piszczek, Sokratis, Toprak, Toljan, Kagawa, Götze, Pulisic, Yarmolenko, Aubameyang, Phillipp
