Real Madrid face Borussia Dortmund this Wednesday and they’ll have to do it without Welsh attacker Gareth Bale, who missed Tuesday’s training session. Bale made his return to the pitch a week ago in a meaningless match against Fuenlabrada and played around 20 minutes. However, he felt some discomfort and has been missing the team’s training sessions since.
Los Blancos have a tough and crucial game against Sevilla this Saturday and coach Zinedine Zidane will surely be hoping that Bale is ready enough to at least come off the bench then, given how thin this year’s squad is.
Marco Asensio will be available as he rejoined the squad this Monday. The Spanish attacker could get some minutes in order to regain confidence and momentum for the tough matches ahead.
Real Madrid have nothing to play for this Wednesday as they have already clinched their presence in the Round of 16, so Zidane could rotate his squad.
