Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane confirmed French defender Raphael Varane will miss Saturday’s match against Sevilla after he picked up a small injury during Wednesday’s meeting with Dortmund.

“Raphael’s problem is not so important. He cannot be with us tomorrow, but the scan show it is not too big, so he will be with us at Club World Cup and we will see for the next game,” said Zidane, who confirmed that Vallejo will be with the team on Saturday.

Ramos won’t be available either, so Zidane will be forced to start Nacho and Vallejo in the center of the defensive line with Achraf playing in the right side in Carvajal’s absence. Furthermore, Casemiro will also miss the game.

The match against Sevilla will not be an easy one for Real Madrid because of the injuries and suspensions. Zidane’s lineup will be full of reserves and Los Blancos need to earn the win in order to stay in the race for La Liga title.
