Gareth Bale won’t be available when Real Madrid host Sevilla this Saturday in what will be a crucial match for Los Blancos’ race for La Liga title. The Welsh player “felt some discomfort” during his return to the pitch against Fuenlabrada and was kept out of the team’s list for the following games against Athletic Bilbao and Dortmund, this being the third game he’s missed.
Bale has only played the 22 minutes he stepped on the pitch during the home game against Fuenlabrada since he picked up an injury two months ago. Real Madrid have shown some lack of transparency about Bale’s injuries that is clearly frustrating the team’s fanbase and creating wrong expectations about his potential return to the pitch. For instance, Zidane said that he couldn’t play against Bilbao “just to avoid any kind of risks” and it turns out that Bale has missed the two following games on Madrid’s schedule, one being a crucial match against Sevilla.
