CONFIRMED lineups: Real Madrid vs Espanyol, 2017 La Liga

Real Madrid host Espanyol before what will surely be a tough away match against Valencia next Wednesday.

Real Madrid starting XI: Casilla, Carvajal, Varane, Pepe, Nacho, Kovacic, Kroos, Isco, Vazquez, Ronaldo, Morata.

Espanyol starting XI: Lopez, Reyes, Duarte, Lopez, Caricol, Fuego, Diop, Perez, Reyes, Jurado, Moreno.

Zidane has decided to rotate his squad and players like Marcelo and Casemiro will be on the bench, just like Gareth Bale, who is hoping to step back on the pitch after missing the last three months with an ankle injury.

This is a good chance for Isco and Morata, who had been wanting more minutes lately. It's clear that they want to be on the pitch against bigger opponents, but performing well against Espanyol would be their first step towards regaining an important role within the team.

It will be important for Madrid to keep control of the game after their good win against Napoli last week.
