Real Madrid's away match in Valencia will be played on Wednesday, February 22nd, La Liga announced today. The match should've been played before Christmas break but Madrid's trip to Japan to play the FIFA Club World Cup forced La Liga to reschedule it.
It will be an early kick-off —18:45 CET— as Sevilla play a Champions League game that very same day and UEFA don't allow league competitions to schedule matches in that same kick-off time.
Valencia just suffered a huge 0-4 home loss against Eibar this weekend and would be in danger of being relegated if the worst three teams in La Liga weren't as bad as Osasuna, Granada and Sporting are right now. However, Valencia play with a lot of intensity every time Madrid visit their stadium and it will not be an easy game for Zidane and his men.
La Liga is yet to announce the date for Madrid's visit to Vigo after their match this weekend was postponed.
