Radio Montecarlo interviewed Karim Benzema last night and Real Madrid president Florentino Perez appeared on the show to speak about the French striker.
"I am very happy about the team right now, we're leading La Liga and we will be playing in the Champions League Quarterfinals, so yes, I'm happy," said Perez about how the team is performing lately.
Then he went on and spoke about Benzema.
"He's a mix of Zidane and Ronaldo, so for me he is the world's best number nine. He plays very well and it is very difficult to find a striker like him. If it depends on me, he will stay in Madrid forever, but that is not something we are discussing right now, but again, if it depends on me, he will stay here," added Perez.
The journalists in Radio Montecarlo asked Perez about Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe, who is rumored to be on Madrid's radar.
"Anything is possible, but we will not talk about players who don't belong to Real Madrid. He's a great player but we're only thinking about La Liga and the Champions League right now," explained Perez.
