After another tight-lipped game during the week, Real Madrid will travel to the Municipal de Ipura this weekend to take on seventh-placed Eibar.
Wednesday night’s outing against Las Palmas resulted with a mixed bag of emotions that left many questions in the air. However, the team can not dwell on the match for too long as they must prepare for an inform Eibar side.
PROJECTED STARTING XI:
Real Madrid: Navas; Carvajal, Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Marcelo; Casemiro, Kroos, Modric; James, Vazquez, Benzema
Eibar: Yoel; Lopez, Arbilla, Ramis, Luna; Leon, Escalante, Inui, Garcia, Pena; Enrich
Players to Watch: Typically, this segment is to stress a player of singular importance; however, after previous results, the player or players to watch this weekend are the entire Madrid squad. Having returned from two-goal deficits in both of their last matches, one thing stood out: the team has heart but no early tenacity. Madrid does not look like a team fit for a full 90; furthermore, they don’t look like a team who cares. With a difficult match upon them, it’s time to watch every player to see whether or not they will leave their heart and soul on the field.
X-Factor: In six games, Eibar striker Sergi Enrich has scored five goals and assisted three. No doubt about it, Enrich is in form and Madrid should be aware of that. Being rested in his side’s last match against Real Sociedad, the striker should be fully prepared to light up the goal at home this weekend.
