Barcelona will be without Neymar when they visit the Santiago Bernabeu on April 23rd, the Spanish Football Federation confirmed today.
The Brazilian winger was sent off during Barcelona's 2-0 loss against Malaga and then he mocked the referee, that being the reason why he has been suspended for the next three games. Barcelona will undoubtedly appeal this suspension, but it should not be effective considering what has happened in the past with similar situations.
Neymar has been in great form lately, so his absence could be problematic for Barcelona.
The upcoming El Clasico between the Catalans and Real Madrid could be decisive for the race for La Liga. Madrid should try to at least get a draw at home in order to keep their current three-point lead in the table (with one game at hand at Vigo against Celta).
It will be interesting to see who Luis Enrique picks as Neymar's replacement.
