Sporting Gijón, a team fighting to stay in La Liga, gave a very heavily rotated Real Madrid squad quite the fight this Saturday. Real Madrid had to come back from behind, twice, before Isco channeled Sergio Ramos’ spirit in stoppage time to earn Madrid all 3 points. Needless to say Isco stole the show on the pitch, as is always his intention when out there, but off of it, he had some comments that will make Madridistas all over just swoon for him even more! Marcelo and Isco took some time after the match to talk to the press after the match, and below you’ll see just what they had to say.

Bueno nunca hay partidos fáciles y hoy otra vez hemos dejado la piel. Un partido muy difícil hemos tenido poco tiempo para descansar. Los que han entrado han estado fenomenal. Algunos que no tenían muchos minutos y eso es lo que hace grande el equipo, cuando necesitamos a todos, al final es lo que hace grande el equipo

Es difícil no porque no hay tiempo casi para descansar, pero estamos trabajando bien, estamos bien físicamente pero al final hay muchos partidos difíciles en la cabeza que es lo normal pero hoy hemos estado bien, los que han entrado ahora han estado fenomenal.

Sí ha estado muy bien. Estará muy contento por los goles pero más contento por el resultado del equipo. Todos han hecho un gran trabajo, peleado hasta el final, e Isco se lo merece como todos los que lo trabajan

Es un alivio poder marcar al final del partido y poder ganar los tres puntos ero lo que queríamos y lo que hemos conseguido.

Antes de este partido sólo pensábamos en este partido. Ahora tenemos que cambiar el chip para el Bayern y luego ya pensaremos en el otro partido pero vamos partido en partido. Hoy ha sido la entrega de todos muy buena y hay que seguir así

Yo creo que no le hemos controlado como deberíamos haberlo hecho, se nos han puesto por delante en el marcador dos ocasiones y el espíritu del Madrid qué ha demostrado en toda su historia hoy lo ha demostrado una vez más y hasta que el árbitro no pita no hay nada dicho.

No sé, opinen ustedes. Yo cuando salgo al campo trato de hacer lo mejor para el equipo. Hoy he tenido la suerte de hacer yo el decisivo y aquí estoy parado para ayudar a mis compañeros cuando me necesiten. Y creo que no sólo yo, sino todos los jugadores que esperan sus oportunidades cuando las tienen pues rinden al máximo.

La verdad es que no lo sé, el Míster es el que decide. Verdad que este año no he tenido muchas oportunidades en Champions pero bueno, la afirmo porque el equipo lo está haciendo muy bien. Estamos muy cerca de pasar a semifinales y lo importante es pasar, no que juegue.
