Real Madrid have rejected Liverpool's €50 million offer for Marco Asensio, according to reports from AS and Cadena COPE. The British club wanted to sign the player next summer but Los Blancos are not interested in losing such a gem, per those same reports.

Marco Asensio has blossomed into a very useful player for Zinedine Zidane. The 21-year-old was one of the most promising players on Real Madrid but he is no longer a prospect, as he showed during the Champions League Quarterfinals against Bayern Munich.

Asensio is now a cornerstone for this club and is expected to be a regular starter really soon. In fact, he could be competing with Gareth Bale for a place on the right wing unless the Welshman improves his form. Asensio has made huge progress over the course of this season and there's just no way he is leaving Real Madrid any time soon.
