French defender Raphael Varane can't stay healthy. Just when he had the chance to prove that he has the quality to be an undisputed starter for Real Madrid by playing in every tough game Los Blancos have ahead, the club confirmed that Varane has a fairly serious hamstring injury that will most likely keep him out of the squad for the next month.
After the tests performed today on our player Raphael Varane at the University Hospital Sanitas la Moraleja, he has been diagnosed with a grade 2 injury in the left femoral biceps. His recovery will continue to be assessed.
This means that Ramos, Pepe and Nacho will be forced to carry the burden against Atletico de Madrid, Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona. While Ramos is definitely up to the challenge, it will be interesting to see if Pepe still has what it takes to perform that well against those three big teams. If he doesn't, expect Nacho to play alongside Ramos.
