With only three league games remaining, and their destiny in their own hands, Real Madrid will treat tomorrow’s match against Sevilla as another final.

Sevilla sit in a distant fourth place, and have had a relatively successful season. They’ve been a bit hit-and-miss their last five or six matches with some mixed results against mixed competition with draws against Sporting, Valencia, and Sociedad, and a 4-2 drubbing from Malaga.

The last meeting between Real Madrid and Sevilla saw the Whites slip 3 goals past Sergio Rico and keep a clean sheet to boot.

What will be interesting to see is what lineup Zidane decides to field. His once de gala got an extra day of rest with the first Sunday match in a while. But the “B” team has been firing on all cylinders.

With the three decisive league games in 8 days time, my guess is going to be a hybrid depending on fitness.

I can see Kovacic getting some minutes in midfield, and a continued rotation up front with Benz/Morata. Unless Ronaldo is feeling tired, or wants some extra rest for the clutch Celta match, I can’t see him being rested.

Other than that, it’s anyone’s guess when it comes to Zizou’s tactics, but it’s amazing to have such depth at this point in the season.

One thing is for certain - not depending on any results but the ones we make, and it all to play for in the next 8 days is going to make for some serious excitement for the Madrid faithful.
