Post-Match Player Reactions (La Liga 2016/17): Real Madrid 4 – 1 Sevilla

Real Madrid squashed Sevilla this Sunday to please all Madridista mothers (in most of America, Spain’s Mother’s day was last Sunday). Nacho started out with a quickly taken free-kick goal, and that just opened the floodgates to the five scored that night. Here are what some of the players had to say afterwards!

Mateo Kovacic

El Bernabéu ha estado increíble, como todos los partidos.

Nada, una final más que hemos ganado. Una final más que hemos ganado y tres puntos más y tenemos dos partidos más para ganar.

Es que ha sido un momento de pensar todo muy rápido. He visto que los jugadores estaban descolocados, el portero un pelín fuera de sitio, y sin pensarlo lo he tirado y luego pues ahí va! Muy contento por el gol y sobre todo por la victoria.

Una final menos ahora nos quedan dos todavía más difíciles pero lo bueno es que el equipo está bien metidos, y con mucha confianza. Y bueno somos el Real Madrid y tenemos que, como siempre, ir por todos los 3 puntos. Vamos por el primer partido el miércoles que es muy difícil y luego pensaremos en lo demás.

Pregunta sobre la salida de James

Bueno no sé. Lo que sí es verdad es que ha sido muy bonito que todo el estadio la ovación. Creo que se lo merece, es un grandísimo jugador. ¿De despedida? No creo. A lo mejor tal vez es porque acabó la temporada, es último partido aquí. A todos nos hubiera gustado que la afición nos despidiera así y bueno contento por lo de James.

Agradecido, pues a la afición. Esto sigue, no ha terminado la temporada y bueno al fin de temporada veremos qué es lo que pasa.

Relación con CR7

Yo con Cristiano me llevo muy bien. A veces se nota en el campo, desde el principio siempre me ha acogido, pues, muy bien y la verdad es que estoy agradecido de la forma que me trata. Y bueno luego en el campo es muy fácil entenderse con él.

Bueno nosotros pensamos en 6 de 6. Nosotros ahora pensamos en el Celta, en ganar al Celta. Y luego pues en el campo del Málaga ganar también.

Sobre Morata

Yo creo que ha hecho un buen partido. Morata siempre rinde muy bien, siempre lucha. Eso es lo que pide la afición y creo que lo ha hecho.

Yo creo que la forma como empezamos el partido, empezamos fuerte con intención de ir arriba y meter goles. Y creo que eso ha sido muy importante. Estamos donde queremos estar. Durante toda la temporada, hemos peleado, hemos trabajado, para estar aquí ahora y bueno, estamos en la posición que queremos y dependiendo de nosotros. Eso es muy bueno.

Ha sido increíble. Hoy el ambiente en el Bernabéu, como todas las noches muy importantes y el Bernabéu siempre nos dan mucho apoyo y salimos muy confiados para afrontar estos dos partidos. Pero primero el miércoles que es muy importante y luego pensaremos adelante.
