In case you don’t remember, this match needed to be rescheduled, because Vigo experienced storms that seriously damaged a part of their stadium. This caused a spat between the mayor of the city and Real Madrid’s board, which was sparked by Real’s not-so-classy action of trying to play the match in a different stadium.
This game will be held between La Liga weeks 37 and 38, meaning that Real’s clash at Balaidos will be the penultimate matchday of the season. Considering the tight nature of the league race, a victory in this game will surely be crucial for Real’s title hopes. However, it will not be easy, as despite Celta’s recent poor run of form, they are a dangerous team that possesses several quality players.
