Brazilian wonderkid Vinicius Junior has chosen Real Madrid, according to local newspaper Globoesporte. Los Blancos improved Barcelona's offer by €20 million and will pay Flamengo around €45 million for his signing, although the deal will reach €61 million once every bonus and fee is paid.
Vinicius is still 16 years old and will not join Real Madrid until the summer of 2018, if Globoesporte's report is accurate.
He's been labeled as "the pearl of Brazil's football" and it will be interesting to see whether he will join the first team in 2018 or not, as he will still be 18 years old.
Vinicius is comfortable playing in all three positions of the offensive line, although his favorite one is on the left wing, where he can display his brilliant shot from long-distance.
He is also a very quick player capable of dribbling past his opponents, so he should fit well in the quick pace of European football.
