Real Madrid’s 2016/17 was one of the all-time great seasons, with Zidane leading his men to a La Liga and Champions league double and Los Blancos becoming the first team to win the UEFA Champions League back-to-back. This glorious campaign has been filled with all sorts of incredible moments: the countless comebacks, Sergio Ramos’ headers, Ronaldo’s decimation of Europe, two Derbi demolitions, the goal scoring-streak, the unbeaten record, the two trophies, and of course, CR7’s frosted tips. In the process, we saw Zidane mature into one of the best coaches in the world, while players like Asensio, Kovacic, and Nacho took new leaps forward in their development. With Theo Hernández and Marcos Llorente set to come to the Bernabeu next season, it appears that Real Madrid is poised to get even better.
