Alvaro Morata's agent Juanma Lopez visited the Santiago Bernabeu this afternoon as he tried to finish Real Madrid's deal with Manchester United, club sources told Managing Madrid. The clubs have not reached an agreement yet but the move could become official fairly soon.

Lopez will be trying to convince Madrid of accepting United's last offer, close to €80 million. Los Blancos initially wanted at least €90 million to let Morata go but Manchester United won't reach that amount and those €80 million are the best they can offer for the Spanish striker.

Morata wants to leave Real Madrid in order to get more minutes and play the 2018 FIFA World Cup for Spain. He expected to have a more important role for Los Blancos when the club decided to bring him back from Juventus last summer but coach Zinedine Zidane chose Karim Benzema as the undisputed starter all season long. Still, Morata managed to score some crucial goals when he was given the chance to play.
