The FIFA franchise — that all too familiar video game we have a love-hate relationship with — has chosen their new cover for their 2018 edition. The game has had Lionel Messi on their cover for a significant amount of time until the trend ended with the FIFA17 edition, in which Marco Reus was chosen due to fans votes. This new edition will feature Cristiano Ronaldo on the front cover of the game, proving that even at his age, his marketability just keeps growing.

Cristiano is said to be deeply involved with the game where he will don the motion capture technology for EA and a special release bearing his name.
Surprisingly enough, this will be the first time that Cristiano Ronaldo will grace the front cover of the most popular football video game in the world and I only have one thing to tell FIFA: It’s about time.
Enjoy this trailer from EA!
