French club Paris Saint-Germain will try to sign James Rodriguez this summer, according to reports from Goal. The Colombian playmaker has been wanting a bigger role with Madrid for the last two seasons and will almost surely leave the club this summer as he tries to be a starter elsewhere.

Although Manchester United appeared to be the frontrunners to land James Rodriguez some months ago, it now seems that the player will have to work hard to find an offer good enough for Real Madrid, as the club won't let him go for less than €50 millions.

Paris Saint-Germain don't need more attacking players after signing Draxler last January, but James could be a crucial player in the French Ligue 1 if he finally signs for Unai Emery's team. It will be interesting to see how much Real Madrid end up getting paid for James' transfer, given that they spent €80 million just three years ago.
