Real Madrid just confirmed that Colombian midfielder James Rodriguez will be joining Bayern Munich on a two-year loan deal with the German side keeping an option to permanently buy the player after the deal ends.
Real Madrid C. F. and Bayern Munich have agreed to the loan of the player James Rodríguez for the next two seasons, pending the relevant medical check-up. Bayern Munich reserves the right to purchase the player at the end of the loan period.
The club clearly wanted James out of Madrid as soon as possible and this reflects it. Bayern are already a very good team and James improves their roster. Real Madrid just made Bayern a lot better without getting any kind of compensation in the process. It's true that Bayern will have to spend quite a lot of money on James, but they just added a quality player for free —they will pay James' salary—. It will be interesting to see what Zidane and the board have to say about this.
