Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata is set to complete a move to AC Milan, according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport. The Italian club confirmed their interest in Morata via Marco Fassone and right now it looks like they will get their man, although reports also suggested that Morata’s move to Manchester United was all but done a few weeks ago.

Morata is clearly unsettled by his role with Madrid and wants to leave the club. The attacker expected to play more often once he made his return to Madrid via Juventus but Benzema was the undisputed starting striker for coach Zinedine Zidane. Morata wants to play the 2018 FIFA World Cup and he will only achieve that if he plays relevant minutes, so that explains why he’s insisting in leaving the club.

Apparently, Madrid could be getting €70 million for Morata, if the reports from Italy are accurate. If Los Blancos sell the player, it will be interesting to see if they make a move for another striker or not.
