Alvaro Morata’s career with Real Madrid was short but sweet. Playing bit-part roles from 2011-2014, Morata left for Juventus in search of more playing time and greater significance. After knocking his old side of the Champions League and racking up some special moments in the same competition the following season, Morata returned to Madrid in order to give everything another shot. It wasn’t to be, as Alvaro rode the bench as second-choice striker for the whole season, despite a long period of poor form from competitor Karim Benzema. Understanding that he would likely never get the role he wanted at Real, he packed up his bags and left for Chelsea. Morata’s stint was brief, but he still managed to play a crucial role in the minutes he received; whether that be last minute comeback winners or a consistent spattering of goals across the whole course of a season.
