Will Real Madrid sign Mbappe now that Morata is gone?

Zidane needs another striker, right?

Alvaro Morata has left Real Madrid and now Zinedine Zidane has just one pure striker on his roster in Karim Benzema. Cristiano Ronaldo might gradually become one with time, but for the time being Real Madrid probably need another striker. Could Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe be the one?

He is probably what Madrid fans want the most right now, but coach Zidane could have another plan. For instance, if Benzema isn’t available Cristiano Ronaldo could play in the center of the offensive line with Asensio playing wide, meaning that more minutes could be on Asensio’s way if Madrid end up not signing Mbappe.

Morata left because he wan’t getting the minutes he wanted and Mbappe still needs to develop and grow as a player. If Madrid sign the French attacker and give him Morata’s role, he could also feel like he deserves more playing time, so adding such a high-profile player to this roster could be risky.

Right now, I don’t think Los Blancos will sign Mbappe this summer.
