This is it. Real Madrid and Monaco have reportedly reached a €180 million agreement over the transfer of Kylian Mbappe, according to MARCA. Real Madrid needed another striker after the departure of Alvaro Morata and it definitely seems that Mbappe is their man.
This still isn’t a done deal by any means. MARCA are reporting an “agreement in principle” but it could still take some time to get it done, especially considering that it is a huge fee.
Mbappe is still 18 years old and has plenty of room for development, but it would be a great move to secure his signing now and let him play alongside players like Cristiano Ronaldo or Karim Benzema. Monaco have been selling every promising player on their roster and it wouldn’t make sense for Mbappe to stay there knowing that the team’s performances could be significantly worse than last season.
Stay tuned for more news.
