Rumors published in Spain suggest that Gareth Bale could become expendable if Real Madrid end up signing Kylian Mbappe from Monaco, but the player’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, has denied said reports.

“These rumors are ridiculous and stupid,” said Barnett, quoted by BBC Sport.

Manchester United is reportedly trying to sign Bale and Real Madrid would sell him if the right offer comes their way —at least €100 million—, club sources told Managing Madrid. However, it’s clear that for the time being Bale has no interest in leaving the club, no matter if Mbappe joins the squad or if Isco takes his spot in the starting XI.

If Bale doesn’t want to leave, there’s nothing Real Madrid can do about his situation. It will be interesting to see what the club decide to do with the Welshman after just three seasons with Madrid in which he suffered a devastating amount of injuries.
