Coach Zinedine has already signed a three-year extension with Real Madrid, according to Spanish outlets. The French coach will be earning close to €8 million/year, twice the salary he previously had. The French coach will also see his bonus per title doubled.

This is clearly something he earned by completing one of the most successful seasons in Real Madrid history winning the coveted Champions League-La Liga brace. It won’t be easy for him to repeat such accomplishment but so far his players have delivered in their first official match of the season with a 2-1 win against Manchester United in the UEFA Supercup.

Expect Real Madrid to announce Zidane’s extension right after the Spanish Supercup, as they will do with Isco Alarcon’s new contract. Florentino Perez and the rest of the board wanted to get these two deals done during the summer and they managed to do it before the two crucial matches against Barcelona.
