Marco Asensio’s wondergoal gives 10-man Real Madrid a two-goal advantage over Barcelona

Unbelievable strike!

The first 80 minutes of this Spanish Supercopa first leg was rather tame for an El Clasico. Then things kicked into high gear when Cristiano Ronaldo scored a fantastic goal and then proceeded to get sent off for a questionable second yellow for diving. While it seemed like 10-man Real Madrid would struggle to hang on to their 2-1 lead, Marco Asensio pulled out a piece of magic to extend the advantage to two.

Another counter-attack for Los Blancos bore fruit as Asensio took possession and dribbled nearly 40 yards and smacked an absolutely perfect strike to Ter Stegen’s near post that caught the German off-guard. What a sensational goal to send Real Madrid to the second leg with a 3-1 aggregate lead.
