Can Real Madrid make yet another statement?

Real Madrid earned a tremendous 1-3 win at the Camp Nou last Sunday even with the referee against them. Los Blancos overcame a ridiculous call by the referee when Luis Suarez was awarded a penalty after a dive and then Cristiano Ronaldo got sent off only 15 minutes after coming into the game.

Madrid are the heavy favorites to win the trophy as Barcelona will need at least a 0-3 away win at the Bernabeu to overcome their current deficit. However, coach Zinedine Zidane could be trying to make yet another statement by securing another good win against a much-needed Barcelona team.

Cristiano Ronaldo will miss the game but the rest of the squad is available other than the injured Vallejo. Zidane has an interesting decision to make. Should he keep his starters fresh for Sunday’s La Liga opener against Deportivo or should he go after the win with his best men?
