Sergio Ramos blasts La Liga referees after being sent off

Once again, a Real Madrid player was sent off in questionable fashion. Sergio Ramos was shown two yellow cards and will miss the second La Liga game against Valencia next Sunday. The Spanish defender wasn’t happy about it when interviewed after the match.

“After Carvajal spent one minute on the ground they didn’t throw the ball out, I told them that we were going to do the same and somebody headbutted me, I answered back and got a yellow card. For the second yellow card I just leaned on him,” said Ramos.

“I don’t think the referees do it on purpose but they gotta pay more attention to these plays. We’ve been winning it all for quite some time now and some people might be celebrating but others don’t go to sleep happily,” he added when asked about whether there’s an agenda behind the decisions by the referees.

Either way, Ramos won’t be available next weekend against a renewed Valencia side.
