PSG have announced the signing of French striker Kylian Mbappe, who was rumored to be on Real Madrid’s shortlist all summer long. Some reports from Spain even suggested that Real Madrid and Monaco had reached an agreement over his transfer.

Apparently, Los Blancos were not willing to match PSG’s offer to the player. The attacker reportedly wanted a big contract, one that Real Madrid were not willing to offer as he would have earned more than players like Sergio Ramos.

Either way, Real Madrid have lost a player who has huge room for improvement and big potential. Los Blancos will need firepower upfront in some years and Mbappe would’ve been a great answer to that problem had he not wanted the kind of contract he got from PSG. Apparently, the French club paid €150 million for the player.

It will be interesting to see what Mbappe and Neymar can do for Paris Saint-Germain together this season.
