Real Madrid fans react to Neymar’s sale

Welcome to our drawing board. A few times per month, our resident cartoonist, Finn, will sling out some dope and exclusive art for you — usually on the back of a big moment that’s captured our attention in the Real Madrid world. Following Real Madrid’s 3-2 ‘El Clasico Friendly’ — also known as the oxymoron of all oxymorons — loss; Neymar, prodigal Brazilian son and lauded Cule sidekick to Lionel Messi, went into the Real Madrid locker-room where he spent 15 minutes paying his respects and adding a couple kits to his collection.

We all knew what that meant. Pique’s premonition withered, Messi lost his Robin, and Barcelona lost their second-best player this past season. Neymar may not have had a statistical breakthrough in 2016-2017, but the eye-test on him was really good. He tracked defensively on the left wing when needed, and was a thorn in every opponent as a flair-possessed menace.

No one really thought PSG would sign Neymar this off-season, including Cules. Finn encapsulates this in today’s drawing:
