Cristiano Ronaldo has been rumored to be on his way out of Real Madrid all summer long and he’s not trying to make those rumors disappear. The Portuguese star appeared in Court to speak about the tax fraud accusation he’s facing and delivered an interesting quote:

“I never had issues in England, that’s why I’d like to go back there,” said the Portuguese player when asked about his alleged fraud.

However, it definitely seems that Ronaldo will stay with Real Madrid at least this season. Coach Zinedine Zidane has explained several times this pre-season that Ronaldo “will stay at Madrid” and it won’t be easy to find suitors willing to pay the kind of money a Ronaldo transfer would require this late in August.

All things considered, Ronaldo is still in trouble with the Spanish justice. He admitted no wrongdoing and that means he could face prison charges if he’s found guilty, although the Judge’s verdict isn’t expected any time soon.
