Real Madrid told Gareth Bale that French wonder kid Kylian Mbappe won’t join Real Madrid this summer, according to The Guardian. Furthermore, the Welshman was promised a prominent role in the team’s future and was told that he is not for sale, denying some reports published in the Spanish media suggesting that Los Blancos were willing to part ways with Bale.

Bale has been rumored to be on Manchester United’s shortlist for this transfer window but it seems that Madrid will not sell him. If The Guardian’s report is accurate, this could be Bale’s last chance to prove he can stay healthy and be an impactful player throughout an entire campaign.

The Welshman will most likely compete with the likes of Isco Alarcon and Marco Asensio for a spot in the starting XI. Bale still has very useful skills but he must avoid injuries if he wants to put those skills to good use.
