Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t do anything subtly. The Portugal and Real Madrid star put three goals past the Faroe Islands in Portugal’s 5-1 win.
The hat trick was Ronaldo’s fifth for Portugal, and all of them have come in major tournament qualifiers. This particular hat trick put him past Pele on the all-time list of top international goal scorers. Ronaldo’s three goals put him at 78 all time in a Portugal kit.
The first goal was a beauty — classic Ronaldo athleticism and skill.

For the third and final goal, Ronaldo found himself in a perfect situation, as he usually does, and put it home to pass Pele.
Another day, another record!
