Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos had to leave Spain’s U21 match against Italy with a neck injury after a big clash with an Italy defender. Ceballos had to be taken to hospital with vertigo and vomits and so far no medical report has been published.
“He had some nauseas,” said Spain’s coach Albert Celades.
Ceballos played a very good game even against Italy’s physical pressure. The midfielder seems to be more than ready to stop playing in these games as he also proved during the Bernabeu trophy against Fiorentina.
However, it’s clear that Ceballos will have to earn a spot on Zidane’s plans as players like Kroos, Modric, Isco and Kovacic are ahead of him in the rotation. Ceballos just turned 21 years old this August and has a brilliant future ahead of him, so Real Madrid will need to be patient with his recovery so that he is able to contribute once he makes his return.
